Ngorongoro Conservation Area
is located in Northeastern Tanzania - southwest of Mt. Kilimanjaro. This is a massive conservation area of over 2 million acres . As you travel farther north, you come to the Serengeti Plain and the Serengeti National Park. These two areas are the epicenter for Safari’s in Tanzania
The Ngorongoro Crater
is a National Heritage Site that is believed to have been formed around 2.5 million years ago as a result of a massive volcanic eruption that led to the collapse of the volcano - forming this stunning caldera (crater). Originally this volcano was taller that Mt. Kilimanjaro, now Africa’s highest mountain .
Once you arrive and witness this stunning view from the top of the crater, you know this is a very special place. A 2,000 ft drive to the bottom will bring you into a eco system of its own making. Hundreds of animals, birds and aquatic life live in a unique symbiotic environment - so beautiful. The game drive through numerous dirt roads - will be one of your most memorable. The Massai People
are located in the Ngorongoro Region. They are a semi nomadic people known for their unique traditions and vibrant culture. Everywhere you will see Massai men tending their herds of cattle. The men are always carrying a stick and dressed in colourful pieces of cloth called a Shuka.
