A Memorable Lunch

We drove about 6kms out onto the salt flats to get to a spot that provided a perfect lunch spot and a location for taking incredible photographs. Cesar and Elmer, our guide and driver, organized a lunch right on the salt pack - in about 3 inches of salt water. It was an amazing lunch in a very unique location.

Perspective

Our driver Elmer had taken many other clients out onto the salt flats. He knew the tricks and positions to create some amazing photos. He even had his own toy dinosaur to use as a prop. What fun we had setting up these cool photos.

Heading South

Once we finished our afternoon on the salt flats, we left the urban life of Uyuni and comfort of our salt hotel and headed back south to the mud roads and the simple pueblos of the desert. It had rained hard the night before and some roads seemed like they would soon become impassable.
