The Bourbon Trail, an interesting side trip.

I believe I mentioned that Lindsey was into craft beers.  So we tried to make our end destination each night one that had some interesting craft brewery options.  Our stop in Jefferson City, Missouri at the Prison Brews (formally an actual prison), was one of our favourite stops.  Good atmosphere and it had two Bocce Ball courts.  Well worth making a stop in Jefferson City.

What an interesting side trip our diversion to The Bourbon Trail turned out to be.  Not only does Lindsey enjoy her craft beers, but she also has a keen liking for good Bourbon.  With this is mind, we decided to make a small detour to check out one of Kentucky's favourite  attractions - The Bourbon Trail.

There are 9 historic distilleries on the route which is located between Lexington and Louisville, Kentucky.  You can actually get a trail passport and get it stamped at each distillery.  You are not advise to try and visit more than 2 - 3 each day - unless you have a designated driver.  We visited Four Roses and Buffalo Trace near Lexington.
