Leopards are big cats known for their golden, spotted bodies and graceful, yet ferocious hunting techniques. These large cats can live in almost any type of habitat, including rainforests, deserts, woodlands, grassland savannas, forests, mountain habitats, coastal scrubs, shrub lands and swampy areas. In fact, leopards live in more places than any other large cat.
Leopards are night hunters. We came upon a mother and her cub who had killed an antelope the night before. To protect their kill from other predators, they drag their kill up into trees. They will feed on the kill for a few days until moving on. Eventually other predators will get their chance to consume the leftovers.
There is a definite pecking order to who eats first at meal time. The mother eats first and the cub waits its turn. Show up a bit to early and there are a few not so friendly growls.

On the third night the hyenas got their chance - obviously the antelope was not quite high enough in the tree. The hyenas left no trace of the bottom half of the antelope.
